Brand New Celestron ST102. NEVER USED. NEVER OUTSIDE. I bought this and then got another refractor before I ever used it or modified it. This is new in the box. I will offer it one of two ways. As is $135. No Accessories. It does have the 1/4-20 built in adapter block and 2" to 1.25" diagonal adapter.

Many people may not know that I modify ST80s, ST100, ST102, ST120 from both Celestron and Orion. What do I mean by modify? I completely overhaul the scopes. Anyone that has ever bought a Celestron, Orion, or similar refractor knows they ALL come from China. As such, the Chinese don't seem to want to do the little things to make a scope perform. For instance, all the screws attaching anything to the OTA are not painted black. Result is you have little shiny screws poking up into the tube reflecting incoming light around the inside of the OTA. They also do a poor job of painting the inside of the OTA flat black. Again, horrible for contrast. The objective needs to be darkened on the edge to prevent light scatter. The focus tube needs to be darkened and properly aligned. Then it needs to be star tested properly and collimated. THEY DO NONE OF THIS. However, I can do all of this for you. As a master scope technician I literally disassemble the scope, repaint the inside of the OTA with light absorbing flat black, blacken all the shiny metal screws, darken the focus draw tube and properly align, and darken the objective edge. I reassemble, collimate, and star test. The result is a phenomenal level of improved performance, contrast, and color correction. Most times as good as I have seen on a semi-apos of similar apertures at a FRACTION of the cost of these scopes. I have done dozens of scopes for friends and clients. You try it and you'll see. If you want me to do this for you before I ship then the cost is $210.

If you are interested in this service for a scope you already own, contact me.

Both prices add $5 shipping.
