12/16---SHIPPED THEM TODAY. SOLD!---- Considered by many experts as one of the best small porro prism designs ever created, these West German Zeiss center focus porro prism binoculars are recognized by their "stubby" appearance, short and wide. Optically, their use of marvelous air-spaced objectives and extremely wide angle eyepieces (about 70 degrees) puts an amazing viewing experience in your hands, especially considering how small and light these are (under 20 oz, but very solid and durable-feeling in your hands). The pair I have up for sale, Serial number 469xxx, cost me $172 from an English seller a few months ago, and were not in as good a shape as the seller described, so now the binocular is just back from a $100 trip to my optical repairman, who cleaned, lubed and recollimated them (receipts available). He was impressed with how sharp the image is on these small wonders. These are great glasses to be used and enjoyed by someone, especially someone with small hands, or a gift to the woman of your life. Notice to exacting Zeiss Collectors: perfect or mint examples of the 8x30 Stubbys with original leather "Zeiss" marked cases in excellent condition sell for $400 or more. There are a few quite minor imperfections remaining in this example that prevent me from calling them mint or "A" condition, but they are nevertheless very nice, totally functional, and very sharp. The right person will be very happy with them. These are sold with a high-grade cowhide case marked "Made in England," however, the case is pretty unusable as is, and needs professional resewing; I did consult a luggage repair shop about the case, and they said it was repairable, and worth repairing. A nice leather neck strap is provided. Asking $200. I prefer PayPal
