Matched pair of high quality projection lenses: Aperture is 96mm (3.8”); Focal length 356mm (14”); f/3.5. Wide field air-spaced triplet by the Buhl Optical Co., Pittsburgh, PA. They will cover up to a 5x7” negative for an astrographic camera. These are not the cheap plastic lenses used in copiers and TV projectors. They are coated optical glass (not coated on all surfaces, but contrast is still quite good). Condition is excellent.
They would also make great binocular objectives for a more compact system, with less color error, than the usual doublets. Used with 20mm erfles, they will give 18x and a 3.5 degree actual field of view. Field flatness is good enough to justify premium eyepieces. A 22mm Nagler gives an awesome 5 degree field at 16x with better image quality than my Miyauchi 20x100s.
I will sell the pair for $200 + shipping; or consider offers for individual lenses.
