Custom made for the Latvian envoy to the US in 1943 by a French optician. It has fresh powder coat finish on the tube and brand new Spectrum coatings on the mirrors. This is a beautiful, museum quality instrument. It is extremely well made and would be an excellent addition to someones collection or observatory. There are also 10 vintage eyepieces and the finder is a nearly 3" achromat with crosshairs. I have some of the opticians notes and figures on the quality of the optics...obviously a quality piece of work all the way around. $2500 for the scope, or $3000 with a Starliner 1 3/4" shaft mount that will carry the 70 lb tube. Call or email for more info. I will be at Okie-tex star party next week and can deliver it there.
