I am forced to sell one of my favorite setups:
Takahashi FS-78 f/8 fluorite Doublet OTA
Tak 1.25" compression ring vis. back
Tak 2" ocular adapter (SS setscrew version)
Tak f/5.9 focal reducer (labelled "for fs-60", but is identical to the "fs-78" labelled one)
Tube Rings (parallax I believe)
Tak 6x30 finder/bracket
Vixen GP (standard) mount w/alum. tripod (no tray)
Vixen dovetail tube holder
Vixen short slow motion knobs
chinese d/a drives (don't laugh) & clutches with an added autoguider port with d-cell bat. pack and ac-adapter.
8# vixen cw
4# cg-5 cw
homemade flat dovetail accessory plate

I will not lie, cosmetics on the mount are not so hot (some paint chips, small dings on tripod, legspreader pin repair, No polar scope illuminator, and a chip in the polar scope reticle which does not affect performance; It's the most accurate polar scope I've ever had the pleasure of using). The mount is extremely well tuned; I've tinkered with it for a few years and am extremely happy with its performance as my images taken with it will attest. I've never had a 'trailed' guide with it.
The scope is much better cosmetically, but not perfect. A small paint scratch here and there, some chips on the finder scope from the setscrews (only visible with the finder scope out of the bracket), and no caps for the finder. The scopes objective was replace with a brand new one less than a year ago. The glass is in absolute mint condition and throws the most beautiful star test I've ever seen in any scope, period. I hate to sell the setup; some of my best images were taken with it, including the ones below.
I DO NOT want to ship this (and will not separate either); But I will deliver or meet within 100 miles of Lancaster, PA. New value of everything in excess of $2700, due to cosmetics (function is TOP NOTCH), I will part with all for $1400 (firm). Please respond for more info, I will take pictures of the cosmetic details when I get home tomorrow.
