I have an Astrosky Eliminator tripod that stands 48" high (not including the CG5) with legs all the way inserted, or a little taller with them part-way inserted. The tripod comes with the optional eyepiece tray for underneath. I'm told by Astrosky that the same head (supplied) accomodates the CG5, LXD55, Polaris and EQ3 and 4 mounts.

Also, I have a Celestron CG5 mount with 2 11 lb. counterweights, and dual motor drives with clutches, hand paddle and battery pack. everything is in great shape with exception to the hand paddle of the motor drives. It works great, but the North/South hemisphere switch is broken off. It's in the North position though. So, unless you plan on moving waaaaaay South, you will be fine with it. Sorry, but no polar scope.

This is a super mount/tripod combination. I have had my C9.25 mounted on it as well as a 6 inch Celestron refractor with the legs only inserted into the tripod part way, and it is solid as a rock.

The whole package would cost you about $700 to $750 new, plus shipping.

CG5 w/original aluminum legs, 2 weights and motor drives for $300
Eliminator tripod for $200 (((Sale Pending)))
The combination for $500.
Prices include shipping in CONUS.

Thanks, and clear skies!
