Mail server problems and an extended dialog with a potential buyer may have caused me to put some responders on hold too long. My apologies.

First, if you're looking for a like new Losmandy Polar scope for half the new price, this unit isn't for you.

If you are, however, just interested in getting a good polar alignment and aren't too concerned with cosmetics, and you'd like save $70 to $75 over new, this deal might be just what the doctor ordered.

I've attached an image. Note that the retaining ring is missing but but I haven't found this a problem, I focused it for my 20/250 vision, then locked it down with a drop of clear nail polish on the threads.

I've also replaced the locking set screw with a thumb screw. I found that cables would occasionally snag on the scope, so be able to remove it without a jeweler's screw driver seemed a plus.

The metalic tape was an experiment to see if I could improve accuracy of the polar alignment. The result: no, but it doesn't interfere with anything and could be easily peeled off.

BOTTOMLINE: I've found this old scope yielded just as good of an alignment as the new polar scope I acquired in another trade.

$75 (firm) + shipping CONUS (about $4 for priorty mail)
Paypal prefered.

Again, my apologies if I missed replying to any responses on the previous listing of this item.
