CMOS webcam I took from original housing and converted for astrophoto use. It ain't pretty - but it works. VV6404 356x292 pixel CMOS chip from ST Microelectronics. Specs are available online. Search for "STV0673" (model) or "VV6404" (chip). I forget what brand it is.
Still useable as a webcam - original focusable lens included. Made the 1.25" adapter from an eypiece I drilled out and epoxied in place. Barrel is threaded for filters and is removeable (unscrews) to allow inserting/removing of original lens. Drivers are available from several sources online.
The attached photo was taken with this camera. Captured with and processed in Paintshop Pro. Actually this was my very first attempt at any kind of astrophotography. Taken at prime focus on an ETX90. A great introduction to digital imaging through a telescope or just for expirimenting - and it's still a fully funtional webcam.
