After transporting my scope to work (I'm a counselor for sexually abused children aged 9-13) to give some of my more stable kids a look at the moon (none have ever looked through a scope before) one of my aluminum legs snapped off during set-up. Fortunately the OTA wasn't attached, but I don't know how to replace this to make my mount functional again. The mount is a new-style Celestron CG-5 (a gp clone). I know this is a weird request, but if you have an incomplete or damaged mount laying around you can really help me out. I'll even accept advice :o)
Upon closer inspection it looks like the plastic inserts (both) that fit inside of, and are screwed into, the leg and join it to the mount are what's actually broken. The aluminum leg itself is fine. If you can help, I can send a check to you or issue some money to you via paypal.
