4.5" f/8 Dobsonian (Reduced to $75)

I built this for my kids, but alas I spend most nights alone. Well I can't help it if none of my kids are astronomers, but I figure I can let someone else introduce their kids with this nice little scope.

The mirror is in great shape with only a little dust. It is 114mm in Diameter and has a 900mm focal length. It has a smooth rack and pinion focuser and I am including a Celestron 1-1/4 inch 25mm SMA Wide Angle eyepiece. That gives you nice views at 36X. The altitude supports are threeinch diameter aluminum and can be moved easily to allow you to balance any accessories. Sorry, no finder scope because I am keeping the telrad that I used. All the bearing pads are 1/4 inch virgin teflon.

The scope is practically new, as my kids never really got interested. The paint is slightly marred where the altitude bearings and the clamps touch. One bonus is you can easily remove the bearings and use it with your equitorial mount, if you are so inclined. That way you could have the ease of use of a dob when you want and a good planetary scope for use with your webcam when you need it.

It didn't sell at $100, so I am asking $75 for the scope, dob mount, and eyepiece. You pay actual costs of shipping and insurance by fedex ground. I prefer paypal, but I can do postal money orders, as well.

Thanks for looking!
