I have for sale an old what looks to me to be 1950s vintage SPI 60 m-m refractor with the
original part wood and part steel tripod. This thing was made in the days before plastic
there is no plastic on this one all steel and wood made in Japan . It says coated optics on it I have used
this telescope and the optics look very clear to me. It has an adjustable tube on the end
that adjusts to 15, 30, 45 and 60X. The focuser is all metal and works nice very tight and
smooth. The tube measures 25 inches long including the focuser. The crinkled paint
finish is mostly there, there is some paint chips out by the dew shield. There is some
color around the edge of the optics but for an old 1950s early refractor its not to bad. The
tripod is adjustable for height and the top part is steel the bottom is wood. I have used
this scope but have since went to a larger sized scope. I will sell this one for $45.00
shipped anywhere in the continental US PayPal okay {SOLD}
