Selling my Canon D60 6.3 megapixel DSLR camera outfit (moved to 1Ds). Nine months old; excellent condition, perfectly functioning.

Many consider the D60 the best uncooled digital camera for deepsky imaging on the market. I have a gallery of astro images online that I can point you to upon request.

The image below shows the D60 body and battery grip attached to an AP Traveler for daytime birding use. No more afocal digital imaging with scopes! Bright, unvignetted, easy to focus, full frame prime focus!

With the included battery grip and 4 total batteries, the camera can cover a night of imaging with no AC power (of course you can use AC if you have it).

Package includes:

Canon D60 Kit – New price (Adorama): $2,199
(Includes battery, AC power hook-up, charger and all manufacturer’s equipment)
Canon BG-ED3 battery/vertical grip – New price: $169.95
Three Canon BP511 batteries – New price: $59.95 each
Handstrap – New price $21.95

All in excellent condition, with all boxes and papers.

Total new price: $2,570

Selling for $1,970, including UPS ground insured shipping in CONUS.

Save $600, and no wait (currently backordered at Adorama, B&H, etc).

If you, like me, have invested time (often frustrating) taking pictures afocally with fixed lens digital cameras and your telescope, this camera will knock your socks off.
