This is a Compustar from the late 80's A great goto mount with an 8" OTA. The tube is the original with Starbright coatings and still has very good optics. The tripod is the heavy duty tripod with the beefier wedge for added stability. Comes with all the Compustar cables and electronics. It also has the joystick for easier guiding. The joystick has been modified for The attachment of an SBIG CCD camera so it can also autoguide. It comes with a 1/4" visual back, a 25mm ep,a 6x30 finder and bracket. Hard case for the fork mount and tube. As well as a desert storm cover(used). Manual is also included. It is also capable of linking with "The Sky" software version 4 or 5 for remote access with user supplied computer or laptop. A special made cable is included for this as well. This is a great setup for a small observatory and or groups/organizations. Just point and click across the universe. It has some minor wear from normal use. There is one leg clamp missing. There is a compustar fan page on the internet that is also a usersgroup. Alot of information is available through this site. I have had this mount and scope for several years and have enjoyed it immensly. I am selling to fund a whole new project. See Pic. I am open to reasonable offers and will consider trades.
Asking $1100 + shipping. Or a trade for an ST7 or other "self guiding" camera, or refractors. Thanx for looking
