This one is the more sophisticated first-generation set that did not have the spotting scope L-bracket, but instead included extremely nice 80mm cast aluminum tube rings (now $120) and optionally the flat mounting plate (Losmandy compatable, $50). The original fine pearlescent finish is, IMHO, a lot nicer than the current pebbley white.
Mine was one of those returned to Anacortes to be fitted with a new star-tested objective. Provides sharp and pleasing images and was tested to show only 40% of the color error of an achromat, the same as a Pronto but with a larger aperture, far superior to short tubes.
In excellent like-new condition, used only a few times, replaced by a TV85. If you have an 80mm tube ring, such as the Nexstar 80, I'll sell the basic kit with scope OTA, 45 diagonal, the then-standard 25mm Plossl ocular, adaptor, and soft carry case for $550 shipped in CONUS in the original box. Add $90 for the rings and $40 for the mounting plate (these available only with the scope). Why wait?
PayPal preferred (I pay the 3%). Money order OK too.
