Fairly lousy Synta 120 mm f/8.8 refractor objective lens (lens only, no cell). OK for low power but pretty much sucks above 60X. Couple of tiny edge chips that don’t intrude into the clear aperture nor seem to hurt performance, and why would they since it doesn’t perform all that well anyway. $20 plus $5 postage in the US.
All over the web I read about people and their cheap Synta refractors and how wonderful they perform, no color, pin point stars, and how they can run them up to stupid magnifications. Well guess what? This one is different. If you've ever wondered who gets the lousy ones, wonder no more, its people like me. Use it for low power viewing, refigure it, or maybe use it as an oversized hockey puck for the visually impaired. Put me out of my misery and take this thing off my hands.
