Le Seur 49 inch high steel astro pier. This is a very solid steel pier which is designed to be set in concrete. The shaft is 4.25 inches in diameter and it has a removal top which measures 10.5" by 8" and is already drilled for most normal mounting arrangements. It will take a Meade LX scope in altaz mode and is also perfectly drilled for the Meade wedge. I have also had a Meade equatorial mount on this pier. I have had an attachment machined which is exactly the shape of the Takahashi tripod head and used this pier to mount my EM-10 mount with an FS102. This worked great! However, I am downsizing and preparing to move due to retirement and have no further use for the pier.
I checked with Le Seur and you can buy a new mounting kit (including bolts to stick in the concrete, a template for proper spacing of the bolts, instructions, etc. for $60.00.
Since currently their lowest priced pier is $390.00 and it is only 42 inches tall, I think my price is reasonable at .........$150.00
I will have to insist on pickup only, since Le Seur suggests normal shipping costs are about $100.00. I live in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area.
