I have a Celestron Compustar from the mid 80's. Its a nice setup for
Imaging. And it's GOTO. The tube is an 8" OTA with Starbright coatings. Very good optics. Heavy duty mount, wedge and tripod. Everything works as it should. Has a few updates. The joystick is re-wired to link up with an SBIG ccd camera. And extra weight has been added to the forks for better ballance. An extra cable is included that enables you to link up with a computer. Comes with all you see in the picture, EXCEPT THE TABLE. (Manual is included, but not in picture.)There are tape marks on the tube from a telrad base but these are easily removed. Also, one tripod clamp is missing This setup has seen many a camping trip and star party. Some minor wear is aparent. I hate to part with her but I need the room. I am also including the desert storm cover and the foam lined case. A 6x30 finder, a 1/4" visual back and a 25mm EP.(not pictured)
Please e-mail for questions. I am asking $1100 + shipping or a trade for an ST-7 Or a refractor of equal value. Thanx for looking.
