Questar Standard 3.5 w/ pyrex mirror, Byers 58 German Equatorial drive
w/ DEC motor and 2 foot pier, Bausch & Lomb 3 inch Masutov guide scope,
Cookbook CCD camera w/ computer system.
The Questar telescope assembly and B & L guide scope are mounted on a

The system is presently configured to take 35 mm pictures through the
Questar and autoguide with the CCD connected to the B & L using
eyepiece projection. The configuration may be changed as required.
Successful CCD images have been made through the Questar while
manually guiding through the B & L using an illuminated reticule
The computer processor is an Intel 80486 50 MHz, which was necessarily
slow to run the purchased Cookbook CCD software. Additional software
has been developed in 80286 assembly for autoguiding. The software
can be modified to run on faster machines.
Total price $2600.
