I have an unused 16" full-thickness(3")cassegrain mirror with Novak 9 point flotation holder. Also a 4-1/4" hyperbolic secondary mirror with holder, four-vane Novak spider and diagonal holder and 4-1/4" newtonian diagonal. I also have an exact diagram (drawn by J.Soder)of the distances of the mirrors to construct an F-18 system with 3.75 newtonian. HISTORY: This set was owned by J Soder of Ohio who planned to construct the telescope. He was an avid astronomer who had an article in S&T in Oct. 1978 about his observatory. Because of his untimely death, this set was stored in a local high school and Love Observatory in Ohio until I acquired it about 1990(?). The condition of the main mirror is very good. There is a 1/4" x 3/4" spot near the edge of the main mirror where some aluminizing is missing - this is not optically significant. The newt. diagonal is in good shape. The cass secondary is useable but should be recoated - there are small corrosion spots from storage. I also have a very nice large Parks fiberglass tube for this set which I can sell separately, but I don't know how I will ship it. It is: 18-1/2" ID, 19" OD and 67" long. Please email or call me with questions. I can email individual pictures to serious buyers. Price for optics and holders only is $3500. Parks tube is $350 if I can arrange shipping. Buyer pays all shipping.
