These are circa 1900 binocular wide-angle cells by B&L of NY. The "Rapid Rectilinear" design incorporated an achromat made of two convex lenses facing the same direction which resulted in a wide-angle field created at the objective rather than the eye-piece! These are solid brass with a black anodized finish. A lovely piece of optical history!
Both cells are in excellent condition and the glass is superb for being 100 yrs old.
