This is an unusual, well-built clone of the Edmund Astroscan made by a Canadian company called "Canadian Geographic", model "Geo77". It has 114mm of aperature and a real R&P focuser, although cheap. The images appear to be on par with the AstroScan. The telescope is black with a big ball mount that sits in a dog-dish type base.
I obtained this telescope by mail order a week ago from a Canadian outfit during a sale. It retails for around $175 US. I am including a generic (Celestron, most likely) Silvertop 25mm plossl and a Meade MA 9mm eyepiece. I now have a 10-inch SCT on the way and I own another AstroScan already; hence the sale.
I will use it on the moon the next few nights and try to report its performance, so that you can know additional details.
I would like to get around $150 for it, before shipping.
Thanks for looking!
