I have posted these here a couple of times before, but still have some and so decided to post them again.
I have a large number of sets of astronomical slides that are available for the cost of packaging and shipping.
The current sets are about fifty slides each and will shrink from there
as time goes on.
The slides are old, mostly black and white and cover a range of objects. In spite of being black and white most are gorgeous. All are professional; most are from Hale Observatory, some from Kitt Peak, some from other places like the US Naval Observatory, etc. There are a few of the moon. There are a few of some of the planets. Most of them are of various deep sky objects; star clusters, emission nebulae, and galaxies.
All of the sets are esentially the same, (with, perhaps a few
variations) and the fact that as time goes on there are fewer slides
in each set. Any one set may contain a few duplicate slides, there
may be some warped slides, and may be some with more serious damage.
I am giving the slides away free, but if you can not come to my house
in Cornelius, Oregon to pick them up, I will need for you to cover the cost of packaging and shipping.
Packaging and shipping for one set is $2.00. If you can arrange with
friends or associates so that I can ship a group of sets in one box to
one address, the cost per set will be less.
I currently have about 300 sets to get rid of. If you can use one
(or some) of them, send me and email and I will verify the current set
size, the cost and give you my address.
If you know of teachers, clubs, or other amateur astronomers who can make use of some of these, please have them get in touch with me.
