I have an EnduroBright 1.83" secondary mirror bought new from Nova in October of 2001. 1/10-wave, excellent condition and in original box. These are $100 new from Nova.
Somebody asked me if it were in "new condition". I didn't know whether it was or wasn't. It looked perfect when I packed it, but I just took it out and examined it thoroughly with a magnifying glass. It isn't in new condition. It was in a Protostar holder with shroud, and the tabs on the shroud abraded the edge where the bevel meets the optical surface in three places. I simply hadn't noticed these with the naked eye, but once you know they are there they can be seen as pinpoint black dots at the literal edge of the optical surface. The pinpoint size, position, and nature of these blems still qualifies it in my opinion as excellent. I try never to understate a blem. It looks perfect otherwise. If you don't agree, I'll refund your money (you just have to cover the return shipping).
