New price from STI 199.00 before impending price increase. My rock bottom price for this one-off-only Series II with a Miranda adapter, $100.00. This has a Miranda flange to mount to a Miranda T-Ring (although the flange can be changed to any 35mm SLR supported by STI). This is the only STI Stiletto focusing aide ever made by Richard Shell (the company owner) for a Miranda as the flange is so difficult to come by. I bought it to use with my Miranda Laborec but am making the switch to digital planetary imaging. You basically arrive at rough focus of a 2nd magnitude star(ideally)with your camera, remove the camera body and attach the Stiletto focusing aide (which looks like a camera body with a right angle diagonal and focusing eyepiece). When you look through the eyepiece you'll see straight lines of a ronchi grating. Focus with your scope until the lines are gone and you're in perfect focus. You then carefully remove the Stiletto, reattach your camera body and you're perfectly focused for your exposures. The new price is 199.00. The fact that this is for a Miranda helps and hurts. It reduces the possible market as there aren't that many out there but it makes it more scarce as this is the only one available, period.
My price is 100.00 and it comes with the instruction manual. Please note the e:mail address is for my work. If you want to contact me other than normal business hours, please use 512-657-9062. Payment by money order, please. The condition is a 10. Note I have taken many well focused lunar and planetary photos with this setup.
