This is an oddity of oddities.
I originally purchased this gigantor from a used video equipment store just for fun.
I sarted mounting my etx and another portable scope to it and it worked great. The head does tilt to use as a wedge and also swivels on a bearing. It also has a hand crank to lift the head an additional 2 feet up - and it's still very sturdy. The legs are fully adjustable and in my opinion it is more sturdy than my Meade heavy duty tripod.
It's just about the most versitile tripod I have ever come across: It can be used for Telescopes, Video Cameras (made for large studio versions), Plain Camera Mount, or just about anything you want to mount on it. It's especially slick for terrestrial viewing through a small scope.
It's been a lot of fun, but I have some other projects I need to fund.
Price is $150 plus shipping.
Thanks and Steady Skies,
