I'm selling one of my "quick look" scopes. It's an 80mm f/7 achromatic housed in a Hollowood tube (poplar core veneered w/Bird's-eye maple) w/ a 2" focuser. Tube is mounted in a simple, yet portable & stable mount--basically a dobsonian on top of a tripod. Nice wide field views w/ a 2" eyepiece, and high power views are excellent for just 80mm aperture. I've used powers up to 160X with it (can't go any higher w/ my current eypieces), and while the image softens a bit at that power, when the seeing is good, there's no loss in detail (can almost always see at least two cloud bands on Jupiter & the Cassini division in Saturn's rings). There's a little false color, but that isn't bad, either (only really noticeable on the moon, Venus, & Jupiter).
-adjustable height wooden tripod
-adjustable tube balance
-Baader solar filter
-Stellarvue red-dot finder
