I purchased this refractor new less than 2 months ago. It is in new condition. I've decided to sell much of my astro gear to save for the equipment that I REALLY want. Here are the details:

- 80mm f/5 Generic achromatic refractor
- aluminum 1 1/4" focuser with focus lock
- standard tripod mounting plate
- mirror diagonal
- 6x30 finder with 6 point mounting bracket
- 3 kelner eyepieces (9mm, 12.5mm, and 20mm)

I used the scope on 2 nites and enjoyed it very much. It provides very nice wide-field views of the stars. I noticed some color when I used it to view the moon - around the perimeter of the moon. From what I read, this is common for these achromats. It was very cold the nites that I used it. When I looked at Jupiter immediately after bringing the scope outside, I noticed that Jupiter was not perfectly round. It was somewhat teardrop shaped. After the scope cooled, the image of Jupiter was fine.

In the image attached the scope is mounted on a camera tripod. The camera tripod is not included in the sale. Also, the eyepiece shown in the photo is not one of the eyepieces included in the sale.

I have carefully packed the scope in the original box. It is very well prepared for shipping. I can ship right away if you pay through paypal. Otherwise, I will accept a money order and will ship as soon as I receive the money order.

I will charge the buyer the actual shipping cost. Once I know the buyer's address I look up the charges.

Price: $125.00 + actual shipping cost

If you have been wanting a short tube refractor, this is a good opportunity to get one in like new condition for a good price.

Thanks for your interest,
Gene Slape
