An unusual part, so an unusual approach:
It’s a tracking stepper motor/reduction gear unit from a Celestron Ultima 2000.
The stepper motor is “thermally challenged” (only works in warm weather).
The reduction gear is new, unused, because the motor/gear are sold only as a set, $75 from Celestron, and I only needed the motor from the new unit.
I no longer have a U2K, so this should go to a good home.
No clue what it’s worth (if anything), so it goes to the most interesting astro-related trade offered by the time the ad expires.
Random suggestions: stamp(s) or first day cover, astrophoto suitable for framing, cheap 3 or 4 mm ep for collimation, postcard or souvenir from an observatory or NASA, some 1.25” and/or 2” plugs and caps, Bob’s Nobs for C8, meteorite, or whatever (even pictures of dead presidents, if it comes to that - the minimum presidents to cover cost of shipping).
Exception: First dibs to someone who really needs it right away to fix a broken U2K.
thanks for playing along,
