Meade did a great job and replaced all the optics on this scope (at first they weren't great). The scope now throws a beautiful airy disc even at moderate powers. This is a rare set of optics and I’m sad to see the scope go. I have had it side by side with a 6” Astro physics APO scope and it was at least its equal with planetary views of Saturn and Jupiter. I have had this Mak next to 2 other Meade 7” Maksutovs and this one was noticeably superior. You will cry when you see views of Jupiter and Saturn in this scope. Here is all that comes with this scope (in addition to the standard LX200 controller, cords, etc.) and it is loaded:
* A Cassioppeia Palm computer with the Pocket Sky software (Software Bisque) and all connecting cables to run the scope from this hand held computer.* Lymax OTA cooler. With just the built in fans this Mak takes over 45 minutes to cool sometimes - when you use the Lymax cooler, your wait is 15 minutes max. * Kendrick Dew shield and heater unit.* JMI NGF-S motor zero shift focuser with hand controller* Meade’s soft zipper carrying case* focusing shield* TeleVue Everbrite dielectric 2” Diagonal* Eyepieces: Meade 26mm, Meade 9mm Illuminated ep (with cord), Meade Variable Polarizer #07286, TeleVue 20mm Plossl, TeleVue 2” 55mm Plossl, TeleVue 2” Type 4 12mm (this is an incredible planetary ep on this scope), Televue 9.5mm plossl. *Hardshell case, foamed lined for all telescope electronics and eye pieces.*Meade's optional DC power adapter.
I’ll take the best offer over $2500 by next week and will split the cost of shipping this scope and all the extras it comes with. I hate to part with this scope, but a financial hardship forces the sell.
