Sestertius Diva Faustina II, A.D. 161-175, approx 33mm , about 25-26 gr, Genuine,
purchased at Numismatic coin shop in Rome, Italy, October 2025 , receipt will be provided to buyer.
Consecration Issue. Rome Mint. Struck under Marcus Aurelius and Commodus A.D. 175/176
after Faustina death.
Draped bust right, letters DIVAFAV on left, STINA? on right.
Reverse: Altar with closed doors with on each side a letter S and C , rest illegible.
Mounted by modern silversmith in Solid Sterling Silver ancient Mediterranean style mount,
total weight of coin mounted is about 60 grams.
Bail is 8mm wide inside.
The Getty Villa Museum values this at $1200, selling at only $750 .
ps if you go back to 2001-2015 you'll see I had over 100 ratings 5 STARS!!! Then I left the hobby for several years and did not renew my astromart acct. But AstroMart does not bring forward the ratings...why?
