I am selling this Seco Tri-Max surveyors tripod. Rock solid mount but I've moved on to a T-Pod 110.
These tripods have independently spreadable legs - so I installed a wood block near the top to prevent the legs from collapsing completely in and use adjustable bungee cords to prevent the legs from collapsing completely out.
The platform is fitted with an adapter plate that provides a 3/8-16 connection. Shown in photo, it is a female connection. You can remove the current 3/8-16 bolt and replace it with a longer bolt that rises above the platform to create a male connection
