I believe this model is the predecessor to the Report 172, as it has essentially the same specs. The main difference seems to be it doesn't have a metal spreader. Instead, the wooden tray snaps onto the legs, locking the tripod into position. See photos. I purchased the tripod in 2006, used it lightly for a couple years, and stored it indoors for about the last 18 years. It has a small chip in the wooden tray (see photo) but otherwise is in very good condition.
