This is an exceptional late model U160 with premium accessories and optics. Foremost is the weight-driven clock drive, a beautiful and functioning RA drive. The objective is the highly desirable "green tinted" 102mm f/15 achromat lens. The condition is extremely good with an occasional use mark.
Additional items included:
4" OTA w/superfocuser and dust cap
40mm finder
60/700mm guidescope and rings
Original Unibalance OTA sliding weight system
8 eyepieces including the 60mm
Super Unihex eyepiece turret
Equatorial mount
Solar Projection System
0.965 diagonal
0.965 Herschel Wedge for solar viewing
Original mahogany tripod legs
Metal tripod spreader/tray
Original red illuminating tray light
Weight set for the clock drive
Original wooden storage boxes in excellent condition for the following:
OTA, equatorial mount, weight drive, guidescope, tripod legs and eyepieces
This is a pickup only item. I live in Nashville, TN and will consider driving for a meet-up. If you have ever wanted a U160, it would be hard to find a better kit.
*This is not a grab and go scope. It is heavy and stands just short of 9 feet! It is as stunning to view as it to use.
Price is $5,000. If you are seriously considering this scope, please ask any questions you have.
Blessings!
