Vintage Takahashi FC-76 OTA (D=76mm F.L.=600mm) Fluorite Doublet with highly reputable optical design and performance.
The cosmetic condition is remarkably minty, with almost no sign of use. During my ownership this OTA has been very well cared for and used only a few times. There is no dents, scratches or other damages. Focuser action is buttery smooth and the pinion shaft is straight. I will include a brand new Tak 1.25" eyepiece holder in addition to the original 0.965" one.
Optics (KzFn2/CaF2) and coating are clean but not pristine, as there is obvious sign of cleaning or slight smudging from the previous owner(s). There is no mold, fungus or haze that plagues a lot of these classic FC-76. For all practical purposes, I believe you will not see any degradation in performance and there is still a lot of life left for this beautiful vintage scope from the early 1990's. Star test is excellent and image is color-free and contrasty - an absolutely lovely visual scope with the old-school Tak build!
This OTA comes with a clamshell and a 7x50 finderscope, both in the same minty/collector's grade condition.
