Today, ( In Japan, almost telescope, valuable refractors are dirty, with hole, objective lens is being bad polished.
The number of refractor in good conditions are very very small............
So, such beautiful FC-60 is rare ( about 10 years ago, still there were refractor in good condition.

By the way, for Japanese , (over 50 years age people) 60mm diameter refractor will be the most friendly existance at
all Telescope.
I started to watch star at 10 old. Telescope was 60mm F15 achromat like toy.
At the time, I didn't know ( Nikon, GOTO-kogaku, Takahashi , Astro optics) which were first class Telescope makers.
My mother bought me 60mm F15 altazimuth at toy shop .
So, I was thinking that Telescope is one which can be bought at Toy shop. ( However, it was expensive ,34000yen).

From the beginning, Nodody will exist who can ,use ( Nikon, GOTO kogaku, Takahashi Astro optics) 's real telescope.
I think almost the begginers of astronomy Started to watch star by 60mm achromat altaimuth ,or 100mm F10 reflector.
In other words, Japan , Telescope lovers who are watching stars started by 60mm F15, or 100mm F10 reflector in 1960 S.
About Telescope makers, there were a lot of doubtful Telescope makers ..... Really a lot.
< Vixen was a little late, joined first class Telescope maker , PENTAX,too.
My doubtful 60mm F15. Unexpectedly I could watch Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, M42. Even if it was toy,
4 objects can be seen. If now I think, my toy 60mm may have been fluke......
About it, I was happy..................... This time, I remember my kids memory to do maintenance of Takahashi FC-60.
