Don't need two so I'm selling one. This sample is in excellent condition both optically and mechanically. Optics are clean with some typical trace dust and the OTA is clean with very minor signs of normal use. The stock focuser has been replaced with a superb Moonlite 2.5" large format focuser (no wimpy GSO "upgrade" here!). A ML Synta finder/guide scope shoe, ML thread-in 1.25" adapter, stock rings and Vixen style dovetail are included as well.
The OTA has been expertly shortened ~3" and, with the ML focuser, makes it nicely compact and directly bino-friendly with a typical 2" diagonal and binoviewer. The added back focus and 2.5" format allows the use of many accessories for imaging too. For mono-vision use, an extension tube will be needed. Collimations of the objective and focuser are spot on (pun intended).
The optics are exceptional, smooth, with excellent corrections for spherical, secondary spectrum, spherochromatism, astigmatism and coma aberrations. Typical with all of my scope sales, a complete DPAC and star test report by me (Jeff B on CNs) will be provided to the buyer.
This is more expensive than a stock unit but what you get is an excellent, well thought out, well vetted package that competes directly optically and mechanically with the likes of Tak and others. It looks great too. You can purchase with confidence here.
Buyers pays shipping and any selected electronic funds transfer fees. Pick up is certainly welcome and encouraged.
Thanks for looking.
