Here is a used Lunt 100 mm double stack Ha telescope in excellent shape.
I am the original owner and purchased this telescope about four years ago directly from Lunt. It comes from a smoke-free home.
The scope has an internal double-stacking module for a lowered bandpass of <0.5 Angstroms. The SFPT Double Stack Unit includes a pressure tuner for true Doppler tuning. Pictures are also attached that show various solar images taken with this telescope over the past few years.
Here is what is included:
Lunt 100 mm Double Stack Solar Telescope with Feather Touch Focuser.
Uses a front triplet ED APO lens (FPL53 glass).
The pictures show the DS (double stack) module attached. (This can be removed.)
Both the standard Ha filter and DS filter are pressure tuned.
High Resolution H-alpha Filter for DS Modules. (Basically, a circular polarizer.)
This filter cuts down on the faint background glow that is innate to DS systems. However, the Ha image will be somewhat dimmer with the filter in place.
For brighter images, the DS unit can be removed, and the scope will be in single stack mode. (The black extender ring must then be inserted.)
12mm Blocking Filter in 2" Diagonal
Sol-Searcher sun finder.
For nighttime use it includes: (see pictures)
A basic Rack & Pinion Focuser that can be attached.
Lunt-supplied 0.80x focal reducer and flattener.
Shipping Costs.
The main telescope will ship in the original case and box as supplied by Lunt. The estimated the overall shipping and insurance costs are in the $150 to $300 range. The shipping costs may be less if you are located closer to Indiana.
The price of $5,000 includes any transfer fees. The buyer would pay the express shipping costs in the CONUS as described above. FedEx Express (non-ground) shipping is required with the higher declared value of this telescope.
I would be willing to split the shipping costs 50:50. Therefore, your packing and shipping costs could be lower.
However, if you are located in the Indiana or even the Chicago area, perhaps we can meet halfway and totally negate the high shipping costs.
If local, cash is always welcome. Also if local, I could bring a tripod, mount and power supply and let you examine the solar views through the telescope before purchase.
Will accept money transfer services such as Cash App, Zelle or Apple Cash.
Questions are always welcome.
Thanks for looking.
