Explore Scientific 127ED FCD100 APO triplet with FeatherTouch focuser, 2" diagonal and aluminum hard case

I am downsizing - or I would definitely keep this beauty. Apochromatic triplet with a perfect star test. The FCD100 glass (a big step up from the Essential Series) makes for sharp and color free views. The FeatherTouch focuser is a $900 upgrade, fully rotating and smooth as silk. It extends 90mm and has another rotator with a degree scale at its end, handy for astrophotography. It has M63 female threads to attach a flattener/reducer or the included 2" visual back. The scope looks like new: not a single blemish, scuff or dent. A little bit of dust on the objective, see photos for condition. The sturdy case is in very good shape (impossible to find these days, used to sell for $295), the only blemish is a scuff mark on the lid. The scope comes with grip and red metallic Losmandy dovetail, as well as a brand new 2" dielectric diagonal. I can include a Stellarvue Large Photographic Field Flattener (SFF3-25-28) that covers a full frame sensor for an extra $120. It has M48 threads on the camera side. The eyepiece is not included. This is a high resolution refractor, see the image of M81 by previous owner (with further processing by me). If you want the scope without the hard case, please deduct $150 ($1450 total).

Local pickup is preferred, since it will be a large and heavy package. I can ship at buyer's expense, PayPal add 3%.
