THIS IS A COMPLETE TURN-KEY SYSTEM. Got this two months ago, but after getting it I decided I needed something a little smaller to carry in my Hyundai!. They're selling for anywhere between $529 and $599 right now, but I am including over $200 worth of NECESSARY accessories/upgrades that will make this worth your while. This thing is built like a tank - very impressive build quality. Saturn thru this scope was amazing! I see now why refractors are so sought after for planetary use! VERY LITTLE chomatic abberation in my opinion. You will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of this entire setup. Didn't even consider getting a minus violet filter!
First, about the scope:
• 120mm (4.7") f/8.3 achromatic refractor optics
• StarBright XLT multicoatings for the highest possible light transmission
• CG-4 German equatorial mount with ball bearings and stainless steel tripod
• 6 x 30mm finderscope (replaced with 8x50 RA)
• 25mm 1.25” eyepiece (40x)
• 2-year warranty
- I have replaced the stock 6x30 straight thru finder with a better GSO 8x50 right angle finder.
- I have replaced the cheap Celestron prism diagonal with a better Meade Diagonal.
- I have added a dual axis drive system made especially for this scope by Celestron (#93522)
- I have added the Celestron Polar Finder scope
You will not find a better deal on this refractor with these additions. The CG-4 Mount is SOLID! It is MINT with all original boxes and manuals and registration card. I will have to remove the dual axis drive and ship it in it's original box separately as it could get damaged if left attached to the mount during shipment.
I prefer paypal and will ship only in the US. Shipping should be about $50 (two HEAVY boxes!). Thanks for looking!
