Astro-Physics 152mm f/9 StarFire apochromat, serial number SF6928, completed April 6, 1989 per Astro-Physics. Not ED glass.
Provenance: a January 2002 email from Astro-Physics to the previous owner confirms the model, serial number, completion date, and glass type. A copy is included. The email does not say whether the objective is oil- or air-spaced, and I have not confirmed which it is.
Optics: there is dust on the lens. I would term it moderate, but for me it's not quite enough that I have wanted to clean it.
Cosmetics: the tube has a few nicks in the paint. The photos show its condition and should be considered part of the description.
Focuser: Astro-Physics 2.7" focuser with 2" adapter; accepts 2" diagonals. It is probably in need of regreasing.
Included:
- Astro-Physics 152mm f/9 StarFire optical tube assembly
- Dew shield
- Front and rear caps
- ScopeGuard hard case
- Mounting rings (no manufacturer markings)
- Copy of the Astro-Physics correspondence
The mount, finder, diagonal, and dovetail shown in the mounted photos are not included.
Price: $4,495. Price includes shipping, insurance, and PayPal fees within the CONUS. International shipping welcome at the buyer's expense.
