Up for sale is my wonderful Astro-Physics 130mm f6.3 Starfire GTX Gran Turismo with rotating 3.5" focuser, I'm the original owner, it's in near-mint condition, has been wrapped in the original bag in its case except for setting it up just a few times. The bright color of stars is amazing in this scope. I used mostly for viewing comets with the public. Nothing but WOW's. No marks that I can see, and a little bit of dust on the front of objective. I never tried to clean the objective. The focuser is "silky smooth with a greaseless drawtube and the dual-speed mechanism of the FeatherTouch 9:1 Micro". This instrument has a great reputation for imaging with amazing results.
Selling due to health reasons.
Comes with original case, AP 5.5 Inch rings, and plate. I had also purchased the tube covers for taking it apart when traveling, those are not included. I never took it apart. Those covers are still available on AP's site (T13012) and other markets.
For visual use with this amazing instrument, I used a Baader Planetarium 10 x 60 f4.1 Vario Finder with a Tele Vue Everbright Dielectric diagonal for a 1-1/4" eyepiece, along with the AP 10x60 Quick Release Finder Bracket S1060QRM with the AP QRBASEM multi-radius block that is not included. With the purchase of this AP 130 GTX it can be acquired for an additional $500.
$8500 firm before adding the shipping cost. With the APRING55 and plate, this is below what it would cost to acquire a new one, if you could order it - it's currently not available. Will split insured shipping. Accept PP F&F otherwise buyer pays fees, or check, or wired funds. Payment must clear before shipping. CONUS shipping only.
