Here is a chance to get a large AP scope without the large price tag. This is a rare 1987 AP 6 inch F12 Superplanetary tube assembly. It is an airspaced Christian triplet and has no visible false color. It has definite cosmetic issues and could benefit from a repaint. The dew shield is also somewhat out of round.
The objective lens is in relatively good condition and a pic of the serial number is included. The focuser is an original 2-inch rack and pinion with a locking screw to keep focus. The OTA also includes a 24 inch Losmandy plate and rings for mounting.
I recently loaned this out to a friend who said this scope completely outperformed a good C11 Edge on Saturn and made SCTs seem boring. Prefer local pickup in Chicagoland.
