This is a Kungming United Optical 152mm f/5.9 scope. It has no branding, so I'm not sure whether a previous owner removed it or it was an early version without it.
It is clearly the same scope as the Canadian Telescopes, Altair, and Astro Telescopes 152mm f/5.9 refractors. You can find lots of articles about it on CN if you search around a bit.
It's in really nice condition, with no significant blemishes on the body, and the glass looks great, with just a few dust particles. This is the version with the 2", 2-speed focuser, which works very smoothly.
The retractable dew shield makes this a fairly compact package that fits into a nice protective hard case. Includes an aluminum, screw-on lens cover. A Telrad base is attached to the tube.
Awesome light gathering and sharp, contrasty wide-field views of stars! You might see a bit of color on very bright stars, etc., but color is very well controlled. Collimation is good and is adjustable if needed.
Located in south central PA and would love to find a local buyer. If not, I will ship it at the buyer's expense and risk.
Asking $550, not including shipping. I'm willing to drive a reasonable distance to meet for delivery. Will ship at the buyer's expense.
Thanks for looking!
