Orion XT8 Plus Dobsonian, like new. Only $380.

8" reflector (XT8+).  Pristine condition.   I'm the first owner and have used it only a couple of times.  Wonderful telescope, good views.  The scope has an f/5.9 focal ratio. 

This is the upgraded Orion 8" Dob that comes with these extras:

            --  2" 28mm Deep View eyepiece.  Endcaps and box.

            --  1.25" 10mm Sirius Plossl.  Endcaps and box.

            --  Orion shorty 2x Barlow.

            --  2" dual-speed Crayford focuser.

            --  EZ Finder II Red Dot Reflex Sight.

            --  Thumbscrews for adjusting the secondary mirror.

            --  Collimation eyepiece.

            --  2" focuser with 1.25"-2" adapter.

            --  2" tube extender (Orion Adapter #05122).  For extra back focus for unusual eyepieces.

            --  Mount tensioning knob to set balance (instead of awkward, hard to handle springs). 

Fine focusing works well (especially on planets).  It was easy to find a tension setting that kept the scope balanced even with heavier eyepieces and Barlows -- without a counterweight. 

Note:  The scope is similar to the "Limited Edition SkyQuest XT8 Classic Dobsonian Bundle" now sold by Orion for $780 plus tax.  That scope uses springs; this has the easier-to-use tension knob.  I'm selling mine for less than half that and it comes already assembled.

Added pads to inside of mount, so tube doesn't bump into screws from front handle (see photo). 

Note:  A Mylar solar filter is not included.  The one I received was flawed, so I returned it.  Orion later stopped including a solar filter with the XT8 Plus.

Orion 1.25" SkyGlow Broadband filter (Korea) with case for only $20.   Enhances contrast on brighter nebula and useful on planets, especially Mars.

Three 1.25" Planetary Filters with cases for only $10 total.  Celestron #25 Deep Red and #58A Light Green (Taiwan) and Orion #58 Dark Green (Japan).   May help with the Moon, Venus (cloud patterns), Mars (polar caps), Jupiter's Great Red Spot, and Saturn's white spots. 

I'll include a 4-slot circular filter case for anyone buying all four filters.
