Selling a 12” Orion XT12i Dobsonian ‘push-to’ telescope in excellent, pristine condition. I am the original owner. The primary and secondary mirrors are perfectly clear. The optical tube assembly and wooden base look great and move smoothly. The OTA has zero dents or scratches, and the inside has been partially flocked. The secondary mirror edges have been blackened. It functions flawlessly as a high-performance manual telescope for incredible deep-sky views of galaxies, star clusters, and planets.
Note on Electronics: The IntelliScope hand controller has succumbed to the common "black screen" issue and does not function. Therefore, the status of the magnetic altitude and azimuth encoder boards on the base is unknown.
The only things keeping this scope from being in perfect condition, as a manual telescope, are that one of the SkyQuest labels is missing on the base and the rubber ‘tires’ on the focuser are missing. I’m selling the DOB because I’ve upgraded to a Celestron NexStar EVOlution.
