Telescope has a Swayze primary mirror and an Astrosystems secondary. Has a small Rigel type finder, 1 1/2" focuser and a secondary dew heater. The f ratio is 5.97. Focal length is 2000mm. The telescope was custom made by Mike Weathersby in Texas. Although the primary has some dew spotting it brings in awesome images. Because of the great rigidity of the truss tube assembly perfect collimation remains in effect through the entire range of motion which greatly enhances the image quality. Even in my light poluted back yard the star in the center of the Ring Nebula is visible. Individual stars in the Great Cluster of Hercules are easily distinguishable even in a high magnification of 300X. Actually, theoretical maximum power for this telescope is 750X - although the best I have been able to achieve because of view conditions is 666X using a 6mm lens with a 2X Barlow. I just cannot convey in words how great this telescope is. Unfortunately, I'm now 61-years old and hauling it around is quite a chore. Thus, I'm looking for a replacement telescope and would trade for a late model ETX-125EC with Autostar - IF it included a heavy duty tripod, electric focuser and a hard carrying case. But, I would settle for the ETX-125EC with Autostar without the other items if some cash was to come my way. Without any trades the price is $1190 (and that's cheap!) plus shipping.
