Ota:
Automotive paint with clear finish.
6" F/8 with superb meade optics.
Fully baffled (Nice dark images)
Fiberglas tube. Won't crush (Water softener cylinder)
Meade cast aluminum mirror cell. Better cooling (Not particleboard)
Meade 4vain spider (recessed adjusters)
Meade focuser (Yes its plastic but smooth ).
Treaded inserts for a Telrad
Mount:
Flat surfaces have automotive paint with clear finish.
All edges are covered with black Formica for easy maintenance.
Ota holder has internal fiberglass sleeve allowing ota to be turned for comfortable eyepiece
use.
Ota holder has red LED's to prevent visitors from bumping mount. Plus they look great.
Alt and base are on roller bearings with adjustable Teflon on ebony star for friction.
Back off friction adjusters and add motors and you'll have a great go-to scope.
Threaded balancer (carrying handle) to simplify balancing.
