SOLD 18" f/5 SpaceWalk Telescopes Truss Dobsonian SOLD

I have for sale a very nice 18" f/5 SpaceWalk Dob with a Dick Wessling Primary. This is a very special scope, but it's just not getting used as much as it should.

If you're interested, I can share a link to a discussion about this scope that says a lot about this beauty's quality and usability. I bought it four years ago from the man who bought it from Bob Schilling, the guy who started the discussion.

I can also provide a link to a tribute left for the mirror maker, Dick Wessling, who has passed away. He was a true master of his craft.

SpaceWalk Telescopes was based in Georgetown, TX, but is no longer in business. Miguel Betancourt built the scopes, with optics sourced from a variety of makers. I was fortunate enough to get this one with a superb Dick Wessling mirror. The scope is essentially a very high-quality Obsession clone, but I think the build is better and more space-efficient, resulting in a smaller overall size for its aperture. I also have a link referencing their work, which, from what I can tell, is highly regarded.

The scope is in very good or better condition, with cooling fans for the primary, a dew heater for the secondary, and a stalk for mounting a Nexus DSC that can connect to the existing encoders. She also has a FeatherTouch focuser, which makes precise focusing a breeze. The included shroud is in great condition and is of very high quality. Everything functions as it should, with no issues. Alt/Az movement is buttery smooth; collimation is easy and tool-free. She requires only a minor tweak before observing, even after transport. Wheelbarrow handles are included.

I'm asking $2250 or the best reasonable offer. I can accept PayPal (buyer covers any fees), Venmo, or Zelle (preferred). Pickup only.

Thanks for looking
