10" Meade Starfinder Dobsonian

Meade 10" Starfinder. Focal Length: 1140 mm, F ratio: f/4.5. The OTA (Sonotube) is 45" long and about 13" in diameter. The white paint has faded a little and has some stain marks. The mirrors are in very good condition and optically, the telescope performs very well. The focuser is a 1.25" rack and pinion type and is okay (i.e. it works but not the best). It comes with the original 6x30 focuser as well as a mounting base for a Telrad (Telrad not included). There is an extra screw hole next to the finder scope base (this was done by the previous owner and I believe, the gap will accommodate an Orion dovetail base). The Dobsonian base is in pretty good shape. This OTA fits in the back seat of a car and can be transported easily to dark sky sites. Comes with the original manual + a few extra screws/allen wrenches.

Local pick up only. I am willing to drive up to about an hour to meet or deliver the telescope. Also, if you are picking up locally, you are welcome to come by and test out the telescope on a clear night before making a decision.
