Quantum 4 telescope (Serial no. GH102287-C) I am the original owner. Purchased new in 1978. Full metal construction. This model has the enhanced silver coatings that improve light transmission by 20%. The scope is in excellent mechanical condition - mirror, lens, and finder scope present perfect star images. Cosmetically, the Quantum is almost as new except for a small paint chip on base (about 1/10 inch in size). Drive base has a 1/4" x 20 standard photo thread for mounting to a tripod. Includes a 6x30mm right angle finder scope, 16mm University Optics Konig eyepiece, lens cap, electrical cord for the drive, instruction booklet and a sturdy mahogany carrying case. The case does have some scratches on it, but could be refinished with a good sanding and varnish.
Buyer may pickup the scope in Jacksonville, Florida area or pay shipping/insurance via UPS (shipping weight is 38 lbs.) Additional pictures are available by request.
